The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the UGC NET and Joint CSIR UGC NET Examination for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor eligibility across India. What Does "80% Face Coverage" Mean for NTA?
NTA guidelines specifically state that 80% of the image frame must consist of the candidate's face (from the top of the forehead to the bottom of the chin). Long-shot photos where the candidate's torso dominates the frame are flagged by NTA's automated image validator. Both ears must be clearly uncovered and visible under direct, even lighting without flash glare.
Category Certificate PDF Upload Rules (50KB to 300KB)
Candidates claiming reservation under OBC-NCL, SC, ST, Gen-EWS, or PwD categories must upload a scanned copy of their certificate issued on or after the prescribed date in central government format. The file must be in PDF format between 50 KB and 300 KB. Use our SizeSnap PDF Compressor to ensure your document fits within this range while remaining 100% legible.
